This packet of three replacement Marina Bio-Clear Cartridges are designed specifically for all three models of Slim Skim Filters. Each cartridge contains both zeolite and ceramitek, designed to ensure a healthy water conditions for your fish. Zeolite is a chemical filter media that is well known for it's ability to absorb Ammonia from water - making it ideal filter media. Ceramitek is a highly porous ceramic biolofical filter media, which provides a habitat upon which beneficial bacteria can grow. These bacteria are fundamentally important to your fish tank, helping to break down waste products. Marina Bio-Clear Cartridges are designed to be be replaced every two weeks - please note however that you should not replace more than one cartridge at a time to ensure you keep sufficient levels of beneficial bacteria remain in your filter.
