Description

Unlike standard Java Fern, Microsorum pteropus 'Windeløv' develops unique, finely branched leaf tips that create a lush, decorative appearance. Growing to approximately 10–20cm in height and width, it provides excellent texture in the midground or background of an aquarium.

As an epiphytic plant, Windeløv should be attached to driftwood, rocks or other hardscape rather than planted directly into the substrate. Over time, its roots will naturally anchor themselves, creating a beautiful and natural display.

Planting Tips

Carefully remove the plant from the tissue culture cup and rinse away the nutrient gel before use. Divide into smaller portions if desired and attach to driftwood, rocks or other hardscape using aquarium-safe glue, cotton thread or fishing line. Do not bury the rhizome in the substrate, as this can cause the plant to rot.
