AQUACADABRA NO2 REDUCER

Helps reduce harmful nitrite (NO2) levels in aquarium water.

Nitrites can result from fish and invertebrate waste, uneaten food, plant decomposition, chemical treatments and replacement of filter materials. Nitrites are harmful to fish and crustaceans.

During the nitrogen cycle, ammonia is converted into nitrite by Nitrosomonas bacteria. Nitrites are then converted into nitrates by Nitrobacter bacteria. These beneficial bacteria are also contained in AQUACADABRA BACTO LIFE.

Dosage

• Shake well before use.
• Dose 20ml per 100 litres of water every day until the problem is solved.
• One cap = 5ml.
• If NO2 is above 0.50 mg/l, change 30-40% of the water and siphon the gravel before treatment.
• Monitor NO2 concentration daily using a suitable aquarium test.
• After treatment, carry out a partial water change of at least 25%.
• Use AQUACADABRA AQUANEW and AQUACADABRA BACTO LIFE at the recommended maintenance dose.
• Always test nitrite at least once a week.

AQUACADABRA NO3 REDUCER

100% natural, highly concentrated product for reducing nitrate (NO3) in freshwater aquariums.

Nitrates are produced during the aquarium nitrogen cycle and can accumulate in the water. Partial water changes, gravel cleaning, filter maintenance and correct feeding should be used alongside AQUACADABRA NO3 REDUCER.

The desirable nitrate level is approximately 20-30 mg/l.

Harmless to fish and crustaceans when used as directed.

Dosage

• Test nitrate (NO3) before use.
• Shake well before use.
• Days 1-5: dose 1.5ml per 15 litres of water daily.
• Days 6-9: dose 2ml per 15 litres of water daily.
• Test nitrate again.
• If NO3 has reduced to around 20-30 mg/l, dose 1.5ml per 15 litres from days 10-15, then stop.
• If NO3 has not decreased, continue dosing 2ml per 15 litres daily until the problem is resolved.
• Test nitrate weekly and repeat the treatment when necessary.

Important: If your nitrate test reads a maximum of 100 mg/l, the actual level may be 100 mg/l or higher. Continue monitoring until the nitrate level has fallen to approximately 20-30 mg/l.

Recommended Aquarium Maintenance

• 10-15% partial water changes at least twice a month.
• Use AQUACADABRA AQUANEW and AQUACADABRA BACTO LIFE with new water.
• Clean the filter once a week.
• Clean the gravel once a month.
• Feed fish correctly and avoid excessive food.
• Monitor nitrate levels regularly.
