Cleaning & Maintenance:

1. Disconnect the pond filtration equipment where required.
2. Remove the existing foam sponges from the filter.
3. Gently rinse reusable media in pond water to help preserve beneficial bacteria.
4. Replace foam that is damaged, worn or no longer suitable for use.
5. Install the replacement sponges in the correct filter positions.
6. Reassemble the filter and check that water is circulating correctly.

Avoid replacing all established biological filter media at the same time, as this can reduce beneficial bacterial populations.
