The filter includes adjustable flow rate and direction, allowing users to tailor the water movement to suit the aquarium environment. A rocker switch controlled venturi system can also be activated to increase aeration when required, helping support oxygen levels within the tank.

A patented Aqua Valve allows waste materials to pass into the filter while preventing debris from returning to the aquarium during maintenance. This design allows the filter body to be removed for cleaning without releasing trapped waste back into the tank.
