Natural Aquarium Snail Control

Unwanted aquarium snails can multiply rapidly, particularly in aquariums where excess fish food and organic waste are available.

The ISTA Snail Trap provides a chemical-free method of controlling nuisance snails by attracting them into a specially designed collection chamber.

Once the snails have entered the trap, they can be removed from the aquarium, helping reduce unwanted snail populations over time.

This method avoids the need for chemical snail treatments and allows aquarium keepers to manage snails through regular trapping and removal.

Specially Designed Snail Bait Included

The ISTA Snail Trap is supplied with snail-attracting bait food designed for use in the trap's central bait compartment.

The bait encourages unwanted snails to approach and enter the trap, allowing them to be collected for removal.

Additional replacement bait can be added as required to maintain the effectiveness of the trap.

Easy Removal with Fishing Line

The included retrieval fishing line allows the trap to be lifted vertically from the aquarium without needing to place your hands directly into the water.

This convenient feature makes checking, emptying and repositioning the trap easier during routine aquarium maintenance.

How to Use:

1. Add Bait: Place the supplied ISTA snail bait food into the centre compartment of the trap.
2. Fit the Cover: Secure the top cover onto the trap.
3. Position the Trap: Place the trap vertically inside your aquarium in a suitable location.
4. Allow Snails to Enter: The bait attracts unwanted snails into the trap.
5. Remove the Trap: Gently pull the attached fishing line to lift the trap from the aquarium.
6. Empty & Clean: Remove collected snails and clean the trap as required.
7. Reuse: Replace the bait when necessary and return the trap to the aquarium.

Important Information:

PLEASE NOTE: This listing includes the ISTA Snail Trap and bait food.

The trap is designed to attract and physically collect unwanted snails. It does not directly kill snails or guarantee complete elimination of an aquarium snail population.

Check the trap regularly and remove collected snails to maintain effective operation.

For best results, combine snail trapping with regular aquarium maintenance and avoid overfeeding fish, as excess food can encourage unwanted snail populations.

Always ensure the trap is suitable for your aquarium inhabitants and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Manage unwanted aquarium snails with the ISTA Aquarium Snail Trap with Bait Food, a reusable, chemical-free solution for freshwater and marine aquarium maintenance.
