Effective Biological Filtration

Japanese Matting is a popular choice for biological pond filtration because its fibrous structure provides an extensive surface area for beneficial bacteria to develop.

As pond water passes through the matting, established bacteria help process harmful waste compounds, supporting a more stable and balanced aquatic environment.

Easy to Cut & Install

The rigid sheet design allows Japanese Matting to be customised to suit different filtration chambers and configurations.

For accurate cutting, suitable tools such as a circular saw or angle grinder may be used. Always follow the tool manufacturer's safety instructions and wear appropriate protective equipment, including eye protection.
