NT Labs AxoSafe is a specialist water conditioner designed to make tap water suitable for axolotls.

Tap water can contain chlorine, chloramine, halogens and heavy metals that may be harmful to sensitive aquatic animals.

AxoSafe works immediately to remove chlorine and chloramines, helping prepare safer water for new aquarium setups, water changes and axolotl transportation.

Unlike some conventional aquarium water conditioners, AxoSafe is free from aloe vera, making it suitable for use where axolotls are present.

AxoSafe Dosage & Instructions

NT Labs AxoCure 100ml – Axolotl External Parasite Treatment

NT Labs AxoCure is a specialist treatment developed to help treat specified external parasitic infections in axolotls.

External parasites can cause skin irritation, excessive mucus production and changes in normal axolotl behaviour.

AxoCure is designed to treat infections associated with:

• Monogenetic trematodes
• Ichthyobodo
• Chilodonella uncinata

IMPORTANT: AxoCure must be used in a separate treatment bath and must NOT be poured directly into the main aquarium.

Common Signs of External Parasitic Infection

Symptoms that may be associated with external parasitic infections include:

• Excessive mucus secretion
• Blisters, sores or skin lesions
• Loss of colour or patchy skin
• Peeling, shedding or chalky skin
• Scratching or rubbing against surfaces
• Unusual skin irritation

These symptoms can also be caused by poor water quality or other health conditions. Always test aquarium water before beginning treatment and seek specialist veterinary advice where appropriate.

AxoCure Treatment Instructions

Recommended Dosage: 5ml per litre of treatment bath water.

1. Test the aquarium water to check that symptoms are not caused by poor water quality.
2. Prepare a separate quarantine aquarium or appropriately sized clean treatment container.
3. Ensure the container has a suitable lid with ventilation holes.
4. Fill the container with aquarium water and accurately measure the volume.
5. Add AxoCure at a rate of 5ml per litre and mix thoroughly.
6. Carefully transfer the axolotl into the treatment bath using a fine net or suitable container.
7. Keep the treatment bath in a cool, dark location.
8. Leave the axolotl in the bath for no longer than 8 hours.
9. Check the axolotl hourly for signs of stress.
10. While treatment is taking place, perform a water change in the main aquarium.
11. After treatment, carefully return the axolotl to the aquarium, transferring as little bath water as possible.

IMPORTANT: Never leave an axolotl in the AxoCure treatment bath for more than 8 hours.

AxoCure Treatment Dosage Guide:

One 100ml bottle of AxoCure provides enough treatment for 20 litres of bath water at the stated dosage.

Important AxoCure Treatment Precautions

• DO NOT pour AxoCure directly into the main aquarium.
• DO NOT leave the axolotl in the treatment bath for longer than 8 hours.
• DO NOT use for more than two consecutive days.
• Always monitor the axolotl hourly during treatment.
• Keep the treatment bath in a cool, dark location.
• Ensure the treatment container has adequate ventilation.
• Follow the manufacturer's current instructions carefully.

If symptoms persist after two weeks, the manufacturer advises that treatment may be repeated for two consecutive days using the recommended procedure. Seek veterinary advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
