NT Labs Aquarium Tonic Salt is a pure aquarium salt designed to support freshwater fish during periods of stress, illness, transportation and environmental change.

Adding aquarium salt at the appropriate concentration can help fish maintain their natural osmoregulatory balance, reducing the physiological effort required to regulate fluids and salts within the body. This can be particularly useful when fish are stressed, recovering from illness or being moved between aquariums.

Tonic Salt can also be used as supportive care when dealing with certain external parasite problems, including White Spot and Velvet, when appropriate for the species being kept.

Directions for Use

Dissolve the required quantity of salt in a separate container of aquarium water before adding it to the tank. Once dissolved, introduce the solution gradually into an area with good water circulation.

• General Tonic / Mild Stress: 1g per litre of aquarium water.
• Supportive Care: Up to 3g per litre where appropriate for the fish species being kept.

Important Information

Not all freshwater fish, plants and other aquarium inhabitants have the same tolerance to salt. Check the requirements and salt tolerance of all species in your aquarium before use.

Always calculate your aquarium volume accurately and follow the dosage and safety instructions supplied on the product packaging. When using alongside another fish treatment, check the manufacturer's instructions for compatibility before combining treatments.
