Salifert Coralline Amino Acids (1000ml) provides corals with essential amino acids that mirror the composition found naturally in coral reefs. This formula is carefully designed to stabilise coral skeletons, reduce phosphate interference, and support beneficial bacterial growth. Each dose ensures corals receive the amino acids they need to build a strong, stable structure, essential in reef aquariums where natural biodiversity may be lacking.
Key Features:
- Precise Amino Acid Formula: Contains essential amino acids in proportions that match those found in natural coral skeletons, excluding any that may harm coral stability.
- Enhanced Coral Skeleton Stability: Strengthens the coral structure, preventing unwanted transformation in the skeletal material.
- Reduces Phosphate Impact: Minimises phosphate’s negative effects on coral growth for healthier development.
- Supports Coral and Bacteria Nutrition: Provides a natural food source for corals and beneficial bacteria, promoting a balanced reef ecosystem.
- Pharmaceutical-Grade Ingredients: Made with pure ingredients to avoid introducing any unwanted elements into your aquarium.
Directions: Shake well before use. For regular maintenance, dose 5ml per 100 litres (25 gallons) of aquarium water once a week.
Salifert Coralline Amino Acids is ideal for reef aquariums, providing a stable, nutrient-rich environment for corals to thrive.

Why are amino acids required? The skeletal material of corals is built-up with alternating layers of calcium carbonate and layers rich in amino acids. These amino acids fulfill many important functions. They stabilize the skeletal material avoiding the transformation into a totally different crystal structure, and they also decrease the negative effect of phosphate on coral growth. Furthermore amino acids serve as a food for most corals and beneficial bacteria. There is sufficient evidence that around coral reefs the desirable amino acids occur in the water itself and are deposited on freshly formed calcium carbonate. The type of amino acids in solution and their relative proportions show a remarkable similarity to the amino acids found in coral skeletons. Therefore it is very likely that corals obtain these amino acids from the surrounding waters. Amino acids originate from the many different life forms on coral reefs. An aquarium system lacking the bio-diversity of a huge reef may suffer from a lack of the proper amino acids. About Coralline AminoAcids: There is sufficient evidence for that some amino acids are highly essential while some amino acids have a negative impact on the stability and growth of corals. Salifert's Coralline AminoAcids contains all the amino acids in correct proportions as found in coral skeletons. We omit all amino acids which have a negative effect on the stability and growth of the coral skeleton. Salifert is currently the only company offering such a well-defined formulation. Coralline AminoAcids gives corals the opportunity to form a stable skeleton or skeletal needles. The negative effects of phosphate are also markedly decreased. Also, all ingredients are of a pharmaceutical quality or even better. This ensures that no unwanted elements are added to your valuable aquarium.
