This natural lava rock filter media provides outstanding biological filtration thanks to its highly porous structure. The coarse surface offers an excellent environment for beneficial bacteria, helping to maintain healthy water quality in aquariums, ponds and filtration systems.

It can also be used as an economical aquarium substrate, either as a complete base layer or to increase substrate depth beneath decorative gravels and rocks.
