The compost’s loose structure facilitates the circulation of oxygen-rich water, crucial for robust plant health.

To facilitate effective plant growth, a layer of at least 15 cm of this pond plant soil is recommended for water lilies and most marsh plants. To keep the water clear and prevent soil washout, it is beneficial to cover the soil with fine-grained substrate or washed gravel. For those using plastic plant baskets, the use of Velda Cloth Liners is recommended to secure the soil while covering soil with rinsed gravel or substrate enhances its structure.
