The UV system causes free-floating algae cells to clump together, making them easier for the pond filtration system to remove. It is particularly well suited to larger ponds and filtration systems such as multi-chamber filters commonly used with koi ponds.

How It Works

As pond water passes through the Algae Master, ultraviolet light targets free-floating algae. The algae cells then clump together, allowing them to be captured more effectively by the pond's filtration system.

This makes the UV clarifier a useful addition to a suitable mechanical and biological filtration system for maintaining clearer pond water.

Connections

The manufacturer recommends installation using solid solvent-weld pipe. Compatible hosetails can also allow connection to flexible pipe sizes including:

The unit is also designed to fit many commonly used 1.5" solvent-weld waste and pressure pipe systems.
