The Red Sea REEFER MAX S-700 G3+ Marine Aquarium is a complete reef aquarium system combining a 564 litre display tank with a 135 litre in-cabinet sump, providing a manufacturer-rated total system water volume of 699 litres. Its 150 x 68 x 65 cm display provides substantial space for creating a marine aquascape with live rock, coral colonies and suitable marine fish. Part of the premium REEFER S range, the MAX package combines the aquarium, reinforced aluminium cabinet, filtration sump and plumbing with ReefLED G2 lighting, ReefWave circulation, a ReefRun G2 return pump, REEFER DC protein skimmer, ReefMat automatic roller filter and ReefControl Pro monitoring equipment.

The 150 cm display length provides room for developing multiple rockwork structures, established coral colonies and open swimming areas. Its 68 cm front-to-back dimension allows greater depth in the aquascape, with space to position corals at different levels and maintain suitable circulation around the rockwork. The 65 cm display height also provides vertical space for taller coral arrangements.

The REEFER MAX S-700 G3+ features ultra-clear glass bonded with high-quality euro-silicone for long-term structural integrity. The front, side and bottom glass panels are all 19 mm thick, with jet-black glass eurobracing reinforcing the upper perimeter. Additional bottom bracing provides further structural support, while the ultra-clear viewing panels allow detailed observation of fish, corals and aquascaping.

The aquarium is supported by a marine-spec anodised aluminium cabinet frame with replaceable exterior panels and concealed adjustable feet. This construction provides structural support for the aquarium while allowing access to the filtration equipment beneath the display. An included slide-out control panel 60 provides an accessible mounting area for the supplied controllers and other compatible electrical equipment, helping keep the cabinet interior organised.

The G3+ water-management system incorporates hydrodynamic piping, an enlarged downflow inlet and the ReefGate high-precision gate valve. The valve allows accurate regulation of water flowing from the display into the sump, helping reduce turbulence and operating noise when balanced with the return pump. Removable surface-skimming combs provide convenient access for routine overflow cleaning and maintenance.

Two 25 mm return outlets support single- or dual-pump plumbing configurations, providing flexibility when distributing returning water within the aquarium. The MAX package includes one ReefRun G2 8000 return pump, delivering an adjustable flow rate of 4,100–8,300 litres per hour, with a maximum head height of 5.3 metres and power consumption of 24–73 W.

The integrated 135 litre sump provides dedicated space for filtration equipment beneath the aquarium. Its adjustable-height protein skimmer chamber operates at a water depth of 20–28.5 cm, allowing the level to be set according to the requirements of the supplied skimmer. The mechanical filtration section includes two filter socks and two media cups, while the removable compartment allows installation of a compatible ReefMat automatic roller filter. The sump is also refugium-ready, providing the option to incorporate a refugium into the filtration layout.

The MAX package includes a ReefMat 1200 automatic roller filter, which removes suspended waste from aquarium water using a replaceable filter roll. The ReefMat 1200 has a maximum water throughput of 9,000 litres per hour and is rated for aquarium systems up to 1,200 litres. Automatic mechanical filtration helps reduce the need for routine filter sock cleaning.

Lighting is provided by three ReefLED G2 170 units with a mounting system. Each light features a 170 W LED array, providing dedicated reef aquarium illumination for supporting coral growth and displaying the colours of marine fish and corals. The included mounting system positions the lights above the aquarium as part of the complete MAX equipment package.

Water movement within the display is supported by two ReefWave 45 circulation pumps. Each pump provides a maximum flow rate of 15,000 litres per hour with power consumption of 8–45 W, allowing circulation to be adjusted according to the aquascape and the requirements of the aquarium's inhabitants.

The supplied REEFER DC 900 protein skimmer provides additional filtration by removing dissolved organic waste from the aquarium water. It features a water flow rate of 2,000 litres per hour, an air intake of 900 litres per hour, power consumption of 30 W and an overall height of 59 cm.

ReefControl Pro, the automatic top-off (ATO) module and a ReefSense pH/temperature probe are included. The ATO system replaces freshwater lost through evaporation, helping maintain consistent water levels and salinity. The ReefSense probe monitors pH and temperature, while ReefControl Pro supports up to seven compatible ReefSense probes or sensors and two 12 V DC devices. Optional ReefSense accessories and ReefControl Power can be added to expand the aquarium's monitoring and control capabilities.
